prez day comic reading + giveaway
Black Nerd Book Club brings Providence mentors to youth to share our love of reading through the comics that we love. We focus on comics that have protagonists of color, as we want POC youth to be able to see themselves through the superheroes they look up to. The program will begin with a superhero game and then reading.
There is plenty to do for parents nearby once you drop your kids off, including enjoying a beer at the Black Sheep or Malted Barley down the street-- or participate in the program if space allows!
